1955 Specifications

3W Single Ended Class-A Stereo Quality Tube Amplifier based on August 1955 UK Mullard 3-3 circuit design using EL84, EF86 and EZ81 vacuum tubes. Thanks to their small dimensions the amplifier only requires a little space.

Very high-quality components are used throughout, including spot welded steel – heavy duty construction chassis (20 Steel Gauge) with bottom plate, Hammond Classic Transformers, selected carbon composite resistors and polyester film and silvered mica signal coupling capacitors. All of the input sockets and speaker terminals are gold plated to ensure good quality electrical contact in the long term.

Going back to the electronics of the early years, when the components and wires could be handled with bare hands. Employing electronic parts as similar as possible to those used in the year 1955, including carbon composite resistors and a can type multi-sectioned electrolytic filter capacitor. Avoiding the use of semiconductors, LED lights or printed circuit boards. Meticulously hand wired and tested. Enjoy a pure analogic listening experience.

We can supply the amplifier configured for other voltages upon request since the power transformer has universal primary 100, 110, 120, 200, 220, 230, 240 VAC 50/60 Hz. and a Faraday Copper Primary Shield that reduces the capacitive coupling from the primary – greatly attenuating higher frequency current coupling to the secondaries.
